Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits Live by Rob Garrett

ROB GARRETT’S “KING OF DIAMONDS” Vegas residency show keeps going strong in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

In addition to being one of the best-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also created and performed the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Siri “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas family friendly concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.

Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
